Description
Epic Hyperspace is the primary graphical user interface clinicians use to enter health information for OHSU patients. Data from Hyperspace is stored in three databases: Chronicles, Clarity, and the Caboodle Data Warehouse. Data can be accessed from these databases by those with knowledge of SQL.
Epic Hyperspace is the official health record for all OHSU patients. Most data entered into Hyperspace can be found within the Epic databases. The OHSU Information Technology Group maintains Epic (both Hyperspace and the Epic databases): https://o2.ohsu.edu/information-technology-group/about/index.cfm.
Chronicles is updated in real-time, Clarity is updated every night, and Caboodle is loaded from Clarity every night (so there will be a one-day difference between Clarity and Caboodle). Clarity and Caboodle are stored on a SQL Server and can be accessed via a SQL Client like SQL Server Management Studio.
Clinicians with non-research needs can request access via the ITG service desk by phone (503-494-2222) or the portal: https://service.ohsu.edu/servicedesk/customer/portal/6.
For research purposes, individuals can request access here: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/20ff9362fc1041ceabc5ee94552062ab. Clarity Data Model Training is required.
