Research Data Warehouse (RDW)

Description

Repository of OHSU patient information specifically for use in research. Data sources include Epic Clarity, Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse, Clinical Genomics Database (CGD), OncoLog (Cancer Registry), IRB (protocol validation checks), DWARF (lists of people associated with IRB), and external Systems (e.g., Death data).

Access requirements

An intake application, fees, and/or IRB approval may be required for use. The OCTRI Clinical Research Informatics RDW team can pull data extracts. In some instances, data views can be created for research teams to access directly.  For extracts to be provided, an approved IRB protocol is required. The RDW team will also check HIPAA provisions in the protocol, data that has been specified for collection in the protocol, genetic/tissue opt-out where applicable, mention of the EMR in the protocol, mention of identifiable data in the protocol, and specific types of sensitive information in the protocol.
